GB80MAN run from the International Bomber Command Centre Lincoln UK by the Lincolnshire Portable Radio Group operating on the 25th, 26th and 27th of April 2025.

Operation will commence on the 25th will be a day of School visits to the Station and a service to commemorate Anzac day, on the 26th there will be a family day organised by the teachers at the International Bomber Command Centre, and the 27th will be a day of operation, still open to the public but without pre-organised visits. The team intends to operate long hours to contact as many people as possible and spread awareness.

We will operate again on May the 18th for the Operation Manna Motorcycle ride in to the International Bomber Command Centre Lincoln. We expect huge numbers of bikers to ride in to commemorate operation Manna.

PH80MAN

PH80MAN in the Netherlands is run by Sander PD9HIX, Erwin PA3EFR, and other members of the Plusscouts PA3EFR/J, a Dutch Radio Scouting Fellowship, from a former operation Manna / Chowhound drop zone in the Netherlands. On the 25th, 26th, and 27th of April at Dropzone Duidigt, Wassenaar (next to The Hague) the team intends to operate 24 hours a day to contact as many international radio amateurs as possible and spread awareness of operation Manna and Chowhound.

The station is planned to be open to the public. Invitations to school children have been sent to visit the station on the 25th. On the 26th it will be Scouts who are invited. The 27th will be a day without organised visitors. PH80MAN will be on air from 06.00am on Friday the 25th of April right through the weekend as conditions allow.

The radio communications will be on HF, VHF, and DMR. Please keep an eye on the clusters to find the right current operating frequencies.

GB8MAN

GB8MAN run by Lincoln Shortwave Club from the former RAF Binbrook Lincolnshire UK. On the 25th, 26th and 27th of April 2025.

Children from local Schools and families will be invited to the station to see the display put on by the His Church heritage team and to take part in radio communications and activities on the 25th and 26th, on the 27th there will be a day of just radio operation with no planned trips to the station. The team intends to operate long hours to contact as many people as possible and spread awareness.

VK80MAN

Local time in the Perth Western Australia Station on the 25th, 26th, 27th of April UTC / GMT + 8

Current time at the Station in Melbourne operating on April the 30th UTC + 10

VK80MAN will be run by the Western Australian VHF Group and the Peel Amateur Radio Group. They will commemorate the huge part played by Australian airmen in operation Manna and Bomber Command in World War Two.

They will Operate from April 24th to May 10th 2025 from various locations in Australia but especially during our event on the 25th, 26th and 27th of April. With special thanks to the Western Australian Returned Services League on Anzac day Friday April 25th the Peel Amateur Radio Group will operate the Station at the Kings Park Perth Anzac day commemorations on air from 4pm UTC Thursday until 4am Friday UTC. With a break from 9.30pm UTC Thursday Until 11pm Thursday UTC.

Operation will take place On the 24th of April form Adelaide and on the April the 27th from the Bull Creek Aviation Heritage Centre Perth 02.00am UTC until 09.00am UTC DMR only and again on the 30th of April from Melbourne.

GB80CHO will be run by Norfolk Amateur Club. from the 100th Bomb group Museum Thorpe Abbots on the 26th of April 09.00am until 15.00pm UTC and April 27th 9.00am until 15.00pm due to the constraints of the Museum. They will be commemorating operation Chowhound from the former 100th Bomb group base and Chowhound air field. The Museum team will put on family activities. They will use a 4 element 10, 15, 20m beam at 65ft and a 30 / 40m rotating dipole and 1Kw,

SN80MAN will be run by the SP5KAB Radio Club. They will operate on the 25th, 26th, and 27th of April from Poland to commemorate the huge part played by Polish airmen in Operation Manna and Bomber Command in World War two.

They will operate HF, VHF and DMR.

Local time at the Station UTC / GMT – 7

VB7MAN will be run by Surrey Amateur Radio Communicators who are allied to their City of Surrey Emergency Program, which provides their station. They will operate from Canada on the 25th, 26th, and 27th of April to commemorate the huge part Canadian airmen played in Operation Manna and Bomber Command in World War Two.

n Saturday the 26th the team will commemorate operation Manna with 300 Scouts operating at a Jamboree from 16.00 UTC.

W4C will be run by Sjaak W4RIS and his team. At the Boca Raton Amateur Radio Association Florida USA. To Commemorate Operation Chowhound.

Run by our team at the Bomber Command Museum of Canada. They will operate on 10, 15, 20m with their 3 element Yagi on top of a 35ft tower, they will also use a 130ft EFHW .

They will operate on HF, VHF and DMR on the 25th, 26th, and 27th of April. The Museum team will put on family activities.

VB6MAN will be on Air from around 15.00 UTC on Friday the 25th and round the clock through the weekend shutting down 1am UTC on Monday.
